The Delhi Capitals has a budget in the auction rounds that amounted to INR 19.45 crore. During the auction round, the team made the most expensive buys: M Kumar, R Rossouw, M Pandey, P Salt and I Sharma. The most expensive buys cost to Delhi Capitals amounted to INR 15 Crores. Delhi splashed the cash to add uncapped speedster Mukesh Kumar to bolster their bowling. They acted wisely by adding Phil Salt and local Boy Ishant Sharma at their Base Price.
Delhi Capitals tried their best to get Cameron Green and Nicholas Pooran, but they were outbid. They added more Firepower to their batting by adding Rilee Rossouw and Manish Pandey. The Team has nine batsmen, two wicket-keepers, three all-rounders and eleven bowlers.

DC Team Captain 2023
The captain of Delhi Capitals is Rishab Pant. His Original name is Risabh Rajendra Pant. He was born on 4 October 1997. Rishab Pant is an international Cricketer who plays for team India. He plays the role of Wicket-Keeper and batsman and is a left-handed Batsman. Rishab Pant is known for consistently scoring runs in test cricket for team India.
He debuted for team India in T20Is for India on 1 February 2017 against England; then, he made his test debut for team India on 18 August 2018 against England, and he made for ODI debut for team India on 21 October 2018 against West Indies. At ICC awards 2018 was held on January 2019, and he was declared the emerging player Cricketer. Also, on February 2021, Rishab Pant was declared the ICC Men player of the month. In the absence of KL Rahul due to injury, he was told to handle the position of captain against South Africa in the T20Is Series.
